Thanks everyone seems like consensus is give him a fair amount and thank him for his kindness. I've only been cycling since July but i was in there 3 times a week when i first started so we had a good relationship. He knows my boss and his family so he knows I live down the street and that I don't have a ton of money right now. I'm going to go in today to buy a tube and hand him 60 extra bucks. If he doesn't accept it after I put the money in his hand then ill have to consider the matter closed and ill mail him and his wife a gift card for Christmas or something.
