Obviously NOT. As most forum members are form the USA the PROPER way to do this is to spend a few grand on a carbon road bike then maybe another grand on pedals, shoes, proper attire and helmet. THEN you can start out right and give someone else a good bargain when you give up and park the thing in the garage and sell it in a few years

Really, if you're just starting out then YES, buy a cheap bike that fits you and does what you want it to do. Ride it for a while and then if you catch the bug upgrade to something better.

Go for it dude. For 25$ ride it for a week and then donate it to charity if you don't like it.
