Hey guys,

When I bought my Trek it came with a set of Shimano LOOK style pedals. Apparently they are pretty nice pedals, but I am wondering if it is worth getting shoes for them. Since I am still in school I can't justify buying shoes myself and they will be a christmas present. I am also into racing my car so some new car parts would be nice as well, so first off, how much better are clipless pedals than platforms?

On the weekends I usually only have time for a 20 mile ride and during the week days (most of the time) I ride the World Sport.

Now, if clipless are the way to go, should I stick with the LOOK style? Sometimes I like to get off the bike and walk around a little and check things out. I'm assuming this isn't really possible with the LOOK style, correct? Would SPDs be better?
