yeah i'd love to have people to ride with, like riding buddies. My ex and I used to ride together, and sometimes separately. He'd go with his buddies and I wasn't strong enough for them! and also, I believe that guys need to have those male bonding rides. But since we split it's hard to find people who are just like me. The women I know are either really strong competitive types who'd be way too fast for me. Or they're the type who ride once a month...the ones I see out on the bike path with their roadie husbands on sundays. They ride once a week and go with their husbands and that's it. But sometimes I'll 'run into' other roadies, usually guys, and we'll ride along for a while. And the riding groups they have on 'meetup' usually attract people who ride with their kiddy carts, wear sneakers, and go 5 miles an hour. So I ride alone, most of the time. It sucks sometimes. And then I worry about a mechanical that I can't fix. I need to meet a new guy who rides.
