Gasoline cars were VASTLY inferior to the existing alternatives such as horse, steam and electric for at least the first couple decades.
But forward thinking people who are not hung up by things like "it's ugly" or "this is stupid"
look beyond what's in front of them and instead see what's 10 years ahead.

This frame is almost certainly not an industry altering development, but it certainly is an interesting concept.
so my advice to my friend was not "not to waste his money" like some suggested, but rather to pitch it to some manufacturers before he makes them in any significant numbers.

That way he will have some educated, experienced opinions in front of him.
