Hey gang.
My LBS has a pair of these Giant P-SLR1's (non aero) for demo that I took advantage of the other day.
http://road.cc/content/review/50655-...-slr1-wheelset
They're EDIT-brain hiccup: tubeless ready (nice to have the options I guess) and can run 23 or 25mm rubber. They were equipped with some 25mm Giant something or other rubber.
My SS currently has Shimao RS-10's and schwable Lugano rubber.
I was pretty impressed with the ride. Smooth, quick, they felt better. Posted some improved times but that could be placebo affect. Soon as this Frankenstorm as they're calling it passes I'm going to head out with my RS10s and give them a hard go at my normal route again. Granted I'd probably need 10'years of data to actually make a dent.
Anyways the bike went from 19.1lbs ride ready (cages, computer, small flasher etc) down to 17.8/9. Pretty substantial weight savings.
I'm 190lbs (in shape) and my friends at the shop have currently offered me the "used" wheel set for $850. Myself and one of the shop guys are the only two to try them out so far. EDIT: they are a demo set sent directly from Giant.
Anyone use these wheels? Have any experience or thoughts?
