The Lower cup is in the frame. the crown race is pressed onto the fork and yes you must change it and that is the part to which I refer which may not be interchangeable.
Ah yes, that's what I meant, but clearly didn't have my words right. So basically I'm just measuring the steer tube on the forks to see if they are the same? From what i can tell that's the dimension that matters when seeing if one race will fit the other fork?
