The HRM part of the aforementioned bike computer, is very haphazard, as far as working correctly. Everything else on the bike computer works fine. Do I need to do something specific to make sure that my heart rate shows up i.e. cleaning the HRM, etc.?

I really like my bike computer, and Blackburn has stopped making the Delphi series of bike computers. They now make the 'Atom' line.
