I should correct myself. I changed the crank to the Dura-Ace with integrated BB before ever trying the FSA carbon compact. I didn't like the idea of the compact big ring. I don't want to run out of gear on a flat or DH sprint. I also wanted the integrated BB because a friend who switched said he felt more difference from that than from shaving 2 pounds off the bike. Don't know if that holds water or not. But that's what he said. I was riding up Rt 645 on the southeast face of the blue ridge where it goes up and crosses the appilacian trail at the top and was thinking that 30 tooth front may have made the experience slightly less painful. BTW - If you live near this hill in South East PA have at it, it wll make you strong.
