I don't have experience with Easton wheels but I do have a set of Velocity A23 Comp build. This thing is solid. About a 1000 miles on them and have not had to true. The wide rims do make for a smoother ride. The rims do have a seam and the seam was noticeable when braking but that disappeared after about 200-300 miles. Love them. Since I've had the wheels My weight has ranged between 200 and 185 so they can a borderline clydesdale :-).
