Torx is just another type of head. There are really too many. Over the years I have delt with allen, 4 flute bristo, 6 flute bristo, metric allen, and torx.

For a cyclist, I would remind you that 99%+ emergency tools are metric allen, therefore I would stay away from torx, and stay with the metric allen.
