I'm not one to pick sides, as I usually prefer to stir up all parties, but I'm going to have to pick one here.
Snazz, you have a BMX and a skinny tire bike, so surely you must be somewhat open to alternate takes on similar sports. Have you tried the ski bike contraption? If you have, then you get some respek for your opinion. But if you're only offering a biased opinion, I'm thinking that's more deserving of just knuckles. A fist shaking of a lifetime from Monty Burns, perhaps?
On a serious note, while I'd love to try snowboarding, the fact that I've already destroyed the same knee twice, plus broken my foot once, leads me to believe it's not for me. I like walking, and not be able to do that really sucks. I'm sure I'd break an ankle first time out on a snowboard. As a youngster (possibly before both of you were born) saw a bike with a studded back tire and something like a ski attached to the fork. This intrigued me. Obviously, the Crighton is not the same thing, but I'd still give it a go. So, let's put the hostility aside, and have a polite discussion about the pros and cons of both snow toys, and quit the pissing contest. Otherwise, this might as well be a Campy/Shimano argument.
Cheers.
