Sorry I've not posted to this thread sooner. I tend to be a procrastinator.
1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
Six road bikes and one mountain bike now set up as a road (city) bike.
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
No.
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
Some, mostly because I don't push as hard as as I used to.
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
Since age 40 - almost 23 years.
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides, commute, tour, race?
Last two seasons I did the XOBA cross state ride in Ohio, approx. 400miles in 7 days.
Except for those XOBA type rides I ride alone, as club riding doesn't interest me much anymore.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
Three or four times a week in season, less in winter. Approx. 3K miles
7. Do you do any other type of physical activities - weight lifting, skiing, running, etc.?
I used to XC ski and hike a lot in winter but lately I've slacked off these activities and just ride indoors.
Perhaps you might indicate your age on your reply??
I'll be 63 in September '05
