Amber lights?

I would have posted this in the electronics & gadgets section but that section is dead.

Anyway, I am looking for small amber lights to put in the side of my bike for better side visibility. I ride the Pinellas trail (MUP) and I'm crossing streets constantly. My super flash turbo emits side light for some visibility, but not enough. So far the only amber lights that I have found were cheap ones that go on your spokes that aren't bright at all. The Light & Motion Urban lights have two small amber LED lights on the side and I wanted to try and recreate that. Should I try and make my own lights. If I could I'd build very small but bright amber led rings that act like the rubber things on Walmart bikes to separate the break cable from the frame and mount 5-10 of them, sort of like the amber lights on a tractor trailer.
