A guy who rode most of the Montauk Century with me did it on a full-suspension MTB. The short version is that he had left his road bike at work on purpose (close to start) but after all didn't have 24 hour access! So he rode his pal's MTB. I couldn't believe he made it but he did. Epic ride, IMO.
