I've been riding a Triban 3 from Decathlon for the last year and a half. Admittedly it's my first road bike so I don't have anything to compare it with, but I'm very happy with it. I can go pretty fast on it and I find it very comfortable and responsive to ride.

I use it as my daily commuter as well as for evening and weekend rides so it's seen quite a bit of use, but it's held up very well so far (despite one or two minor crashes on icy roads). I've had no maintenance issues, shifting gears is still smooth, and all the components seem to work as well as when new.

The only upgrades I've made are new rim-tape (a £5 investment after I started getting lots of punctures after about a year's riding) and switching to clipless pedals. Oh, and I replaced the front and rear lights because the ones that came with the bike got stolen, but until they got nicked I was very happy with them too. I'll probably also replace the front brake pads (~ another £10) within the next couple of months because they're getting quite worn.

I would echo bobones' comment above: it's very good value for the price. It's no world beater but it's a solid entry level road bike and it's been single-handedly responsible for me falling in love with cycling. Decathlon products are always good quality - I've been buying stuff from them for years and have never had any problems with reliability. I think they've also added rear rack braze-ons to the frame since I bought mine, so you can mount a rear rack with minimum fuss if you want to (I had to resort to using p-clamps).

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about the bike and I'll do my best to answer.
