I don't see it as that big a deal. Cycling teams change and lose sponsors all of the time. I can barely think of a team that's had the same main sponsor for longer than a 8-10 year stretch. The TdF and Giro are both over 100 years old and have been through depressions, world wars and more. I doubt they will be going anywhere.
