There are a few things that are out-of-date there. Some of the 9-speed groups are now 10-speed and such, but the list is ordered correctly. As the technology trickles down, the lower groups get better. I think m590 Deore stuff is better than older Deore LX. The new 9-speed Sora stuff is supposed to be pretty good too, whereas a lot of people used to not like it.
