Welcome to the club! I've been riding as my primary form of transportation over 25 years and this stuff happens, just gotta develop a sixth sense and use a mirror. My first run-in with a car was a righthook, somehow I knew it was coming and was able to turn with the car, still knocked me down, but really no damage to me or the bike.
