Bikes: cannondale R500 converted to fixie

Thanks a lot for your replies seymour1910 and SlimRider!

I guess by 'too good', I meant 'too good to be true'. But I guess there may always be a catch. The guy on Craigslist has now agreed to add pedals and a computer. He also said about the condition of the bike, and I'm quoting him here,:'Some scratches and some clear coat came off but no cracks...But other than that it looks good...'. I am not sure how to interpret this. What do you guys think?

I'm not biased towards carbon (I think). In fact, I was considering a Felt Z85. Still am actually. But I also just found a shop that has the 2011 Felt Z5 for 1470$ (incl tax) which has really caught my fancy.

I'm just wondering if I should go used as there might be 'better value' in terms of components and wheelsets. But I guess there are the risks of landing a lemon there, huh?
