Hopped in the car and rode the Cannon Valley Trail out of Red Wing earlier today. The trail is in great condition, better than most area roads. Slight uphill (and upwind) out to Cannon Falls, then turned around after lunch in Cannon Falls.

Pre ride photo, the great condition trail, Welch ski hill, pics along the river, the halfway rest area, and finally the Amtrak that was due through at about 8:30 am (taken at 1:30 pm). A nice scenic and smooth rail trail, around 45 miles round trip with the putzing around town, worth the trip if you haven't gone on it yet.
