A couple trips up to the LBS, a bit of road testing around the neighborhood, working up a friend's bike that has sat for a few years. New tires, going through all the bearings, cleaning and lubing. NOTHING special, but interesting anyway, a 1979 KIA, a BIT heavy, all steal everything (except for the brake levers). Make me appreciate my vintage Bridgestone that much more! Cottered Cranks....now I remember how much I despised those!
It's nice that you were able to help your friend out with his old KIA bicycle. I used to feel the same about cottered cranks, but have moved past it now since most of my bikes have them.!
