8 speed 12-34, triple a 48,36,24 (if 3rd, a 74bcd) triple would be the way I'd go.

K cassette was a Great set, but, 7 speed cassettes were last century, 8 speed is still going on new bikes.

though I used a Phil Wood Freewhweel hub and 7 speed freewheel
and it worked fine.. Friction/ratchet Bar ends.
a reliable success.
