That said, see if you can do an extended test ride on both. Also talk with the people fitting you about any differences in the geometry of the 2 bikes that might make one a better fit for you.

haven't really paid much attention to the Domane - but it seems an interesting development - that de-coupler idea is certainly interesting as a development. Maybe one step further, and more active, than the volagi lisco decoupling the seat cluster.
The geometry is something though... The effective TT and the measured frame reach are significantly shorter than the 'avg'. HT is not 'tall', like many current endurance models - but then, a tall head tube is a non-issue, I still prefer the 170-180 for my frame size.. Not sure how I'd react to that short 'reach' ... but would be worth a ride to find out.
And at $4600, for the cheaper model, not aimed at the general market...
Jaki, whether you test ride the Domane or not, I'd also suggest (if possible) giving a test ride on the Volagi Lisco - also in that general allrounder road endurance group, like the roubaix. The Ultrega Lisco, I beleive is in your price range. A search for volagi on BF will bring up some good conversation/discussion by those who already own one and others who have ridden it...
