Welp, I've written 3 thorough responses and been unsatisfied with each so I sent them all to the delete button. I have much to think about before I can develop a new/revised opinion on these matters.

Tyler's book remains on deck but I've followed some of what people have been saying. I read Lance to Landis a couple of years ago and expect TH's book to be mostly an extension of what was covered by Walsh.
