There's really nothing like it 'round here. I guess back before the Weinhardt's sellout we had that but, since then... Well, I guess Full Sail Session is in the same vein, but I still like Yuenglings better.
That's what I was thinking...Yuengling, Weinhardt's, Rainier...all the appearance of a microbrew without all that pesky flavor.
The regional brewers do seem a bit too infatuated with hops at the moment though. I like something with a bit more malt, but it's hard to find among the ocean of IPA's.
I had a few
Lagunitas Brown Shuggas during a recent visit to San Jose. It's a very tasty beer. I didn't take note of the 9.9% ABV until it was too late. Fortunately, I had walked to the bar.
