for a "brand new" bike, I would never accept it in that condition. the rings on the crank look like they have been used for a little while before and the chipped paint looks terrible. I would definitely take it back and get a new one. don't let them just paint over it, cause you will still be thinking about if it is actually brand new or not. I rather have peace of mind knowing I have a brand new product that I payed for.
