The 1980 Peugeot PKN-10 (successor to the venerable
PR-10) I gave to my elder son was similar -- great-riding bike, great looking from a distance, but visible seams on the backs of the fork blades and visible solder splatter around the seat cluster and bottom bracket and visible solder voids at the rear dropouts. Even the Peugeot downtube decals were not perfectly parallel. In contrast, my same-vintage, comparable-quality (also a mixed tubeset w/ high-end butted main triangle and cheaper forks and stays) tre tubi Bianchi looks nearly perfect.
