Today I have to take my car to the shop (oil change and check engine light diagnostic) and hope against all hope that it's not an expensive fix. My dog got hurt over Thanksgiving and has cost me $700 in the past week. I'm broke as a joke. I have no money for Christmas presents. My roommate is pissed because I can't refi my house (appraised too low - not underwater, but not high enough for a no closing costs refi) and I have to sell.

BUT tonight is a very good friend's "Chicagonniversary, Fried Foods, and Power Ballad Dance Party" and I am going with the new guyfriend and it should be lots of fun. Gonna drink and eat fried foods until I forget about my troubles.

Trying to decide what to bring to fry. Oreos? Pickles? Both?
