TMobile Pay As You Go will let you put a sim into any unlocked phone. The plan doesn't even have a rate for data service. I've used it on a first generation iphone for over 4 years. However, this app would only work if it doesn't require any data service.

But back to the previous question, yes we pay to receive texts and phone calls unlike other countries; it is arguable more fair this way, have the cost of the call split between the 2 service providers. Or is cell phone service simply free in your country?
