I think the seller really did you a disservice. Just about the ONLY part of the frame that didn't get a closeup was the top tube. If you look at the one pic of the full frame you can see just the lightest waver of the reflection in the tube. There's your dent.

BTW, did you get the link to the Picasa album he mentions?
Keith, yes that is the auction. From the distance the full drive side picture is taken, you simply can't tell there is anything wrong with the bike. You are correct that there was no closeup of that part of the bike in any of the pictures.

I did get a link to the Picasa album and there is nothing in the pictures there that indicated any damage to the frame.
