And just as a point of reference, I was in the Seattle area last week and sent home a box of books in one of the BOC sized boxes. Dropped it off at a Renton/Fairwood post office on Saturday morning and it arrived in Wisconsin on Monday afternoon, in the rain, on the doorstep, only one book got a little corner soggy (found a couple semi-vintage cycling books while out west).

Starting to build a small pile of crap in the garage, waiting to see what will fit.
