When I weighed 145lbs it would be fine. If you weigh 220lbs and are thinking of carrying 30lbs it would be nice to go to 32mm tires and replace the rear wheel with a 36 spoke and heavier rim. Regular weight road/training wheels can work for light people and light loads but dead weight over the rear wheel and 28mm tires that aren't kept to sufficient psi will shorten wheel life.

So the question isn't entirely bike dependent but load and road.
