this is a climb I did yesterday where I simply left the house, went up a hill, and back down a hill. I realize I am slow, but it shows some of the things discussed here as in how long it takes to go up, vs going down, and how that averages out.
I was on the brakes pretty good down this hill. It was windy, and I was halfway frozen, halfway down. My long sleeve jersey was fine on the climb, but I was so cold when I got home, I had to take a shower to warm up.
Being cold, stiff, and having a cross wind, made me ride the brakes a lot more than typical on this descent.
