Brian I agree. I see the most wonderful things on my bike. I am way happy to ride my 6000 miles every year and only average 16-17 mph. I live in mostly hilly terrain. If I were averaging 18-20 I would miss all the fun stuff. Your on the right track. Meet some riders that have your same interest if you can and just have fun.
