I refuse to take this so seriously that every ride turns into a training ride. Afterall what am I training for? I AM trying to lose some pounds (about 20) and this is just a way to help me do it...I have lost over 80 without cycling. The day this stops being fun is the day I get rid of the bike and do not get another one. That, however is very unlikely since I am looking at buying another roadie or 2 in the next 6 months or so...one to replace my old steel Falcon so I can donate it...another as a commuter/rain bike. I really don't feel comfortable riding my LeMond through some of the neighborhoods I need to ride through to get to work, plus the roads here in Trenton are just God-awful.
Thanks for all of the kind words, they do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Brian
