I wear a pair of Merrell Trail Glove shoes. They are a barefoot style shoe that is mimimalist and light weight. Now mind you I don't wear them barefoot, I wear my work socks with them. Although they have so much mesh on them, my feet are starting to get cold with the air possing through the shoe. I'm going to try some of my wool socks in them, for the morning commute.
They are light weight, very comfortable, but having such a thin sole, they give very good tactile feedback, which I like while riding. But rubber soles, so no issues on walking around. Merrell has a whole line of the barefoot shoes, so you can pick and choose what you like. I went with the Trail Glove only because it is offered in "wide" and I have big Flintstone feet.
