When I did my 1000 calorie days, those were my recovery days, not my workout days. I was smart enough not to do a glucose intensive activity like weight lifting on a diet day. I thought if I cut calories on a recovery day, my body was not using tons of energy that day and could survive on mostly fat and the carbs I at. Well, no recovery occurred until I started eating more. My weight came right back, so I think I lost water and glycogen. Hard to say.

I started eating all the health food I wanted again, and my weight continued to come down a pound a week without weakness.
