Thanks for the replies. My personal preference is for silver, but did not know if anodising had taken over by then. I remember from the mid-late 1980s that polished silver was considered cheap and all the desirable stuff seemed to be dark anodised. Maybe that was just the "fad" of the time.

Can you recommend some tires? Tan/brown skinwall would look good, preferably some that are round and straight and will survive actual riding? I was leaning toward the Continental Competition, but it looks like they only come in black now .
