You all get your MUPS, "PLOWED" in the winter months???? Man are you lucky and I totally agree with the opinion, "they find money to build them" but at least here in Colorado Springs, they've NEVER thought of how they are going to afford to, "Maintain" the MUPS and trails. We do have a "bicycle tax" here on new bike sales ($4 per bike) and that goes to some bicycle lane/path/trail projects but there's no "funds" for maintaining at all!! The idea was the City General Fund would be used, we've had very little funds in our "General Fund" since the last ression and those go mostly to "emergency city structure/road repair". We even have had to ask "local business" to sponsor local area parks so the trash get's hauled away and the grass get's watered!!! New paths get built, then the deteriate into a huge almost unrideable mess.
