Bikes: Nothing amazing... cheap old 21 speed mtb

Every weekend it doesn't snow and cover my favorite course with ice. 100 miles has become the standard for me to say I actually did something. now 200 miles... thats something I'd like to do in one ride if I actually had the time between work and kids. It takes 6 hours to ride 100 miles so I can get up at 4am and be back before 11am. It would be great to have all day so I could ride 12 hours. Like the above posts my biggest issues were balancing fluid/energy intake with the pace to get back in 6 hours. Eat too much and you slow down, don't eat enough and you just run out of gas - not nice at all. Still its a fun way to spend a Sunday morning.
