Man, people keep posting the wrong way...
There are three newish post that belong in this thread, and they somehow became thread-starters:
1: what do you prefer to see?
a well used fixie or a brand new clean one?
i prefer to see a well used fixie, since they looked like they have been well used. also it gives them a bit of character. i like seeing the battle scars and war wounds on them.
2: just bought an (old) used fuji that needs some work done on it and watnted to know:
1) should i get: traditional toe clips (pedal + normal shoe) or clip ins (special pedal and shoe) or is it personal preference?
2) how do i tell how straight the chainline is? do i just look from the rear up straight down to the cog on the crank and line them up?
3, from the mechanics forum, but a true gem: Why is it easy to stay on a bike while moving, but impossible once it stops?
That one hurt.
