It is an easy job as long as the frame was built with parallel and square ends at the BB shell and head tube. But if anything is off when you install the BB/headset it will lead to creaks and sooner or later bearing failure. If something is off it is fixable, but the facing and chasing tools are expensive and not typical of home tool kits. The good news is that this is work that should only need to be done once.
