That's a good idea on the steel frame w/steel rigid fork, as I could always go shocked later. I enjoyed my old cheap steel ironhorse mtb and it was rigid.(am wishing now that I hadn't sold it a couple years back) And thanks for the info on the weird geometry of the access frames.....good to know. Am probably going to be looking in the range of a 20-22 frame, as I am 6'1". And no worries on rambling....lol.....I do the same when I start talking about vintage bikes....lol.
