Just curious - how do you feel about the 1.5-hour run time of those Niteriders? I have a new Serfas TL60 tail light with a 2-hour run time and twice now it hasn't lasted long enough to get me back home because performance is even less in cold weather. Personally I thought the idea of a bike was to let you go places too far away to be practical to walk and IMO a half hour range (you need to go out and back) doesn't cut it.
Yes, the Niterider has a max 1.5 hr runtime on 1800 lumens which isn't enough time IMO. On medium the light gets 3 hours, but the lumens are at a mere 700...
The Cygolite has the best runtime out of my three choices.
Any light I get I'll also pick up a spare battery and store it in my handlebar bag.
