The invoice or bill is proof of value. Seriously, that's what I've provided to UPS for claims, the customer's payment record.
I sent the frame for the cost of postage. I was making no money out of it and was happy to see the frame being used by another enthusiast as I have far too many at the moment.
I'm reasonably sure I'll get the cost of postage refunded, but I'm trying to see if I'll get any compensation for complete destruction of a gift.
