Thanks Gaucho. Criticism welcomed. But I already stripped off that ugly tape and uncomfortable, flexy bars off my Hot-Dog-on-a-Stick bike. I got the bars on Ebay, and the stem-sleeve was a little scratched, and anyway I always prefer to tape it all the way to the stem.
My beloved, lightweight, and highly-comfy 3T Ergonova's are back on with the bulky-looking mtb-style stem. It's better to look good than to feel good, (if you know what I'm saying...)
