You really don't need to worry about the oil seal once it's set in place. I installed enduro's on one of my Fox forks 2-3 yrs ago and they are still going strong. Definitely no need to remove them, until they are worn out.
Forgot the foam can be bent and twisted a bit lol. How can you tell if the oil seals get worn? I'd imagine the upper wiper will either keep it in like a backup oil seal and show excess oil on the stanchions when compressed?
