Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

In the pic, the rack part is not even screwed into the base or the stays screwed on yet; since I'm moving I decided to keep it flat-packable and finish it off in the new place. I expect it to be quite sturdy.
Consumer Product Safety Commission, A federal agency that sets minimum safety standards for all kinds of products including bikes, toys and things like cribs. In this case they set a standard for the maximum gap between the slats because babies tend to put their heads through and get stuck (or worse). As long as tires are smaller than babies heads every new parent will own the raw material for a bike rack when the kids get older.
