After running digits for some time I decided to grab a new bike - now proud owner of a khs flite 220. The wheels mounted are weinman xtr 16's with kenda kontender 700x26's. The frame is 54cm... MUCH easier to deal with than my ~63cm traveler. The lighter weight makes this whole "riding light" thing alot easier... or at least it feels this way so far. I think the snappy handling will keep me away from most big potholes, but inevitably I'm going to bang into one head on at 20+mph.
These wheels have less spokes, but have that aero sort of "v" shape which seems like it will be stronger? Time will tell ultimately, but I'd like to hear if you guys think it is a good idea for me to start setting $ aside for wheels first and foremost... or should I go ahead and grab a nice and tall carbon seatpost so I can get this fit puurrrfect?
